Dr. Barve initiated a campaign for creating awareness about Hepatitis B. He is associated with WHO for Hepatitis Eradication Program all over India with the support of Government of India, Mr. J. P. Nadda, the Honorable Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare.Dr Barve has involved Mr Amitabh Bachchan as a brand ambassador for WHO in south east Asia. This campaign will help in early detection and prevention of complications of Hepatitis B by creating awareness about Hepatitis B vaccination. Govt. Of India has sanctioned more than Rs. 800 crores for eradication of Hepatitis B & management of Hepatitis B.
